The long flirtation between Napoli and Antonio Conte might end like the other two times the team tried to hire him, last summer and in November after Rudi Garcia’s ousting, so without an agreement. The manager has decided to pull out of consideration. He’s fed up with the delays in coming to a decision, La Repubblica informed.

Considering the manager’s character, it’d be weird it took him this long to feel snubbed. Though, the root of the problem is probably simply economic and related either to his wages or the transfer market plans. They seem to be waiting for Gasperini, which would be an almost equally great hire but with less baggage and inferior demands.
