Girona unconcerned by allegations of financial irregularities in Artem Dobvyk transfer

On Thursday, lawyer Evgeniy Kuzmin claimed that a series of irregularities took place during the transfer of Artem Dobvyk from Dnipro-1 to Girona last summer. He also stated that he will be filing a report with UEFA on the matter.

While it has been speculated that the high-flying Catalans could be severely punished if found to have been involved in any wrongdoing, including a possible relegation from La Liga or ban from the Champions League, the club themselves are relaxed about the situation, as reported by MD.

Girona believe that the accusations are not credible, and as such, they do not intend to address the matter through an official statement. Furthermore, MD say that they have consulted a local specialist lawyer, who says that payments to agents would not constitute a severe punishment, even if Girona are found to be involved in any wrongdoing. As such, things are tranquil in their offices.
