Juventus-Linked Lazio Star Set for Contract Extension

Lazio will bid adieu to Felipe Anderson but not to Mattia Zaccagni despite the malcontent voiced by his agent in recent weeks. The winger had also been linked to Juventus. However, the Bianconcelesti made strides in the negotiation to renew his contract in a hurry, Alfredo Pedullà reported.

The club set up a meeting after the Brazilian winger announced his departure. The parties worked long hours to get it done. Four years will be added to his contract, pushing the expiration date to 2029.

Zaccagni will get the pay bump he demanded from Lazio and earn over €3M annually plus add-ons. He had been waiting for it since last season when he had been brilliant. Instead, his present one has been only so-so and marred by injuries.
