One of Europe’s hottest prospects, Roony Bardghji, has suffered a major ACL tear meaning it’s no highly unlikely any team will come in for him this summer.

The 18-year-old Swedish wide forward has endured an excellent season with FC Copenhagen, amassing seven goals in 23 league matches in Denmark. Swedish press have previously described him as “the Swedish Messi” which is huge praise indeed.

Newcastle United reportedly showed interest in Bardghji, as did Tottenham Hotspur, both with intentions for a summer transfer.

Villa News previously reported the forward is ready to leave his current Danish club, with indications that he feels it’s the right moment to advance in his career. Aston Villa are reportedly keen on the £20m-rated player, facing competition from various clubs across Europe.

But unfortunately after today’s announcement from Fabrizio Romano stating that the teenage sensation has suffered a tear in his ACL, it will stop Bardghji from making a dream Premier League move this summer.

The report from Romano added that the Swede is likely to be out for around six months.

This is a shockingly cruel piece of news for the youngster who looks to have the entire world at his feet, and with experience he will surely only get better. But a major injury like this could set him back in his progression, and especially his goal of performing against some of the biggest stars in the world in the Premier League.
