Real Madrid will have to pay €5m to Borussia Dortmund if they defeat them in Champions League final

On Wednesday, Real Madrid booked their place in a second Champions League final in three years, having secured an incredible comeback victory over Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will head to Wembley Stadium on the 1st of June, where they will face Borussia Dortmund.

The match will see Jude Bellingham come up against his former side, and also on his home turf in England. He will be eyeing up a dream end to his debut season at Real Madrid, and if he can lead them to their 15th title in the competition, it would come with a pay-out at Los Blancos’ expense.

As reported by Sky Sport Germany’s Patrik Berger, Real Madrid will have to pay €5m to Dortmund if they win the Champions League final, as per the add-ons in the agreement that saw the 20-year-old head to the Spanish capital last summer.

Borussia Dortmund will receive less than €5m as add-ons (€30.9m possible in total) from Real Madrid in case of Jude Bellingham (and so #HalaMadrid) winning the champions league. #BVB #UCL ⚪ @SkySportDE

In total, Real Madrid could have to pay €30.9m to Dortmund as part of the extras in the Bellingham deal, although they would be absolutely delighted to part with that €5m next month, if it means that they get their hands on title number 15.
