Tottenham open to selling long term Atletico Madrid transfer target

Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could be sold by the Premier League club this summer.

With Spurs set to miss out on UEFA Champions League qualification for the 2024/25 campaign, changes are planned in North London.

Ange Postecoglu’s budget will be reduced by the lack of Champions League cash and the Australian coach wants to revamp his first team squad.

Postecoglu is reportedly frustrated over the performances of certain players and the club will now listen to transfer offers for Hojbjerg.

As per the latest from the Daily Telegraph, Danish international Hojbjerg is just one of the names on Postecoglu’s possible exit list, with Atletico Madrid still tracking him.

Los Rojiblancos have seen their previous attempts to bring Hojbjerg to Madrid thwarted by Spurs but the situation has now changed under Postecoglu.

With Hojbjerg edging into the final 12 months of his Tottenham contract, his valuation has reduced significantly, and Atletico Madrid could seal a €15m deal.
