CBS SPORTS’ pundits introduced themselves to viewers on live TV in a “cringey” segment on Tuesday night.

Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards were tasked with coming up with some buzz phrases ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards did their own introductions on CBS Sports Kate Abdo warned viewers to brace themselves for the “cringey” moment

The trio were joined by host Kate Abdo for last night’s Champions League broadcast to American fans.

They are among the most popular pundits on TV and regularly delight viewers with their top-notch banter.

Abdo usually introduces the team before each game, garnishing them with a funny phrase or piece of information.

But this time, she declared she had run out of funny things to say.

And the fan favourite revealed each pundit would be introducing themselves in what was bound to be a “cringey” spectacle.

Abdo noted: “It’s going to be one of those cringey meetings where everyone introduces themselves down the line.”

Henry then went first, saying: “Hello America, this is Thierry, I’m a pain in the neck, Henry, always for the good of the team.

“I live in London but I’m French. That’s about it from me, enjoy the show.”

Abdo interjected: “Should we not say World Cup winner, Euros winner, Champions League winner, Premier League winner?”

Henry added: “No, that’s it, stay in your lane.”

Richards went next, saying: “They call me Meeks, Big Meeks. The original to burst onto the scene.

“Not only that, England’s youngest ever defender. Not only that, FA Cup winner, Premier League winner and pundit extraordinaire.”

Carragher went last following his epic drinking session at Borussia Dortmund last week.

The Liverpool legend, who had a hilarious interview with Jadon Sancho, said: “Jamie Carragher, I’m a Borussia Dortmund fan right now.

“I played in the greatest Champions League final of all time, and as a pundit, I can’t be beaten. Thank you.”

Abdo also had a go introducing herself, adding: “Hi, my name’s Kate. I’m British but sound American from time to time.

“I’m just here to read the prompter, according to Jamie Carragher, but don’t even do that so well at times.

“Here we are, it’s nice to be with you, thanks for joining us today.”

Fans certainly enjoyed the change in style.

One said: “I like Micah’s vibe.”

Another declared: “Thierry introduced himself in the same way I answer the phone.”

One noted: “You guys are the best at what you do.”

Another added: “The best football TV crew in the world. Always a delight to watch you guys.”
